I made a new friend today by taking a little bit of initiative. Sometimes, taking that one small step can lead to so many good things...
Crystal, thank you for being my new Shakespeare study buddy! Your energy and enthusiasm have already gotten me caught up in getting on top of things, and now I've finished Richard II and thought about why on earth some of the characters in that story even exist in the first place. Take the Queen, for example. What use is she? A foil for the King, perhaps?
And now the declensions of "se" and "stan" are echoing emptily in my brain, lonely without other sentence components to latch onto. Old English, you will be far more useful than Latin...eventually.
Will power seems to be the problem today. Just like every other day. Don't eat the skittles. Drink Earl Gray instead. Your body is a temple. Care for it.
And yet the Skittles still won out--but Earl Grey followed close behind. Nummy =)
Another day in Berkeley comes to a close, and I thank my lucky stars that I can get a good night's sleep and wake up tomorrow with the world at my feet.
Alright Thursday, here I come!
